This is an AMAZING book about Katie, an eighth-grade student who thinks regrouping is for dummies. Her mom dies when they hit a bus and Katie blacks out. But Michelle, Katie's mom, did something amazing before she died. Read the book to find out what she did, and more! This book is an amazing read right from page one! I was spellbound! With all the math instances in it, it's no wonder the author is a mathematics professor. I hope George Gadanidis writes more books like this one!
Timothy Gadanidis, age 9I loved it! Even though it has a serious tone, I laughed out loud several times. A real romp. I think you've covered everything important in life - family, math, cross-country running, and all my favourite neighbourhoods in Toronto. I'm still chuckling about the termite-built woodchip pile.
